Space Fundraising – how you can help
Friends of Space is a charity purely dedicated to raising funds for the Space Centre. Based within the Space Centre, we are the team behind all of the events, community networking and volunteering activities.
We need to raise £80,000 each year to maintain and replace existing equipment and to subsidise sessions to keep them affordable for all service users.
VOLUNTEERING
If you would like to get involved in fundraising and would be willing to donate an hour or two of your time to help out in any way, please contact Andrea in our fundraising office on 01772 769391
EVENTS
We have many major fundraising events running throughout the year from Gala Balls to Santa’s Grotto and would love to see you there.
We always need unwanted gifts to use as raffle or tombola prizes, plus larger ‘star prizes’ to use as auction prizes at these events.
Why not hold your own event? This can be as small or as large as you want it to be, but we will support you every step of the way. The possibilities are endless.
SPONSORED EVENTS
Organised events such as marathons, half marathons, 10K, 5k, abseiling, bike rides and sponsored walks that you could complete in aid of Space. Simply set up an online fundraising page at www.justgiving.com and get a sponsor form from our website. You could even organise your own sponsored event. Just get in touch with any ideas and we’ll help you to set it up.
COLLECTION TINS
We have a number of collection tins and buckets. If you have a local shop, pub, club, school or organisation that would be willing to have a collection can on behalf of The Space Centre please let our fundraising office know.
CHARITY OF THE YEAR
Companies are often looking for a good cause for their Charity of the Year. We would welcome any support you can give to us and we love talking about what we do to local companies and raising awareness.
